The Pelican Girls step into summer's latest looks from Lilly Pulitzer

Good morning Lilly Lovers! The temps might not be in agreement yet but as far as style goes, summer has arrived! At The Pink Pelican, it's that perfect time of year. It's not too hot here in Alabama yet and we have all sorts of new summer Lilly Pulitzer in-store. Chiquita Bonita is our newest print and it's definitely a true summer lovin' one for The Pelican Girls.

Fortunately, Pelican Girl Jordan was willing to try on the latest Lilly for all our Lilly Lovers. First up is the Mina Dress in Chiquita Bonita ($228.00). We LOVE a one shoulder. We just do, it's a flattering neckline for any body shape. And the pretty petal details at the shoulder top it off perfectly. As for fit, it is super flattering but does run just a touch snug.

It all started with a juicestand AND a shift dress! At The Pink Pelican, we love our wonderful Worth Shifts and were tickled pink to see one in High Tide Toile ($178) sail into the store. There's a reason things are called a classic: classic style, classic fit and classic colors. Worths are styles to hold onto and pass onto your Minnies. (This one is literally right out of the box so it's not even online yet!)

Jordan is also wearing her Palm Beach Sandals in one of our NEW favorite color combos: metallic gold with turquoise trim and monogram. Call or come by to create your perfect pair. GREAT gift for grads! For campus comfort, customize them with a padded footbed and no-slip sole. Show some team spirit by creating a pair in their college colors! These are recruitment ready shoes.

We admit it. We were WOWED by how wonderful this dress looked on and honestly can't believe how bloomin' beautiful it is. When Jordan added the Thinny Belt in Neon Pink ($38), we were floored. If this isn't a party perfect dress, we don't know what is. The gorgeous Georgie Dress in Garden by the Sea ($188) shot to the top of our wish lists. It's flirty, flattering and FUN!

Oooh la la...the lovely Lonnie in True Navy Ric Rac ($298) is practically perfect in every way. Fabulous fit and darling details make this one of summer's shining stars. Nautical navy and white just add it to our list of summer staples.

Tunics are a classic Lilly style statement and the terrific Thandie in Chiquita Bonita ($138) is one ALL The Pelican Girls love. Here Stephanie wears it with our Beach Pants in True Navy ($118). Lightweight with a slight shimmer due to slivers of silver threads and an easy fit, this tunic works from spring to fall. It is a little fitted across the bust so be mindful of that when ordering. Thandie Tunics are going fast but we've just placed a re-order. If a tunic tops your wish list, don't let this one sail by.

And yes, the Lilly Pulitzer Beach Pants are a MUST have. The Beach Pant in Resort White ($118) is wonderful and wears well with everything and not sheer as white linen pants often are. For those who want a pop of color, the Beach Pant in Neon Pink ($118) is a colorful choice. Length: we know our Lilly Lovers always inquire about the length of things. Stephanie is about 5' 8" and the length is perfect for her BUT I am only 5' 2" and with my Picture Perfect Espadrille, they are just right. If I wanted to wear them with flats, I would probably need to have them hemmed.
