Twas two days before Christmas, when all through the shop
Everyone was stirring and ready to shop
The stockings were hung by the windows with care,
In hopes that Lilly soon would be there.

The children were playing with Lilly Paper Dolls,
While visions of pink and green treats danced in their heads.
And Angie in her Shere, and Steph in her Ellie,
Had just settled in and were ready to wrap.

When out in the parking lot there arose such a clatter,
We sprang from the cashwrap to see what was the matter.
Away to the window Lauren flew like a flash,
Tore open the door and threw up the sash.

The sun on the cars in our busy lot
gave a magical shimmer to shoppers and packages they'd bought.
When, what to her wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
She knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the lot and into the store!
Now shop away! Shop away! Shop away all!"

St. Nick needed perfect presents and knew this was true,
The Pelican Girls can find great gifts for you.
So into the store, St. Nicholas flew,
To stock up on Lilly and Vineyard Vines, too.

And then, in a twinkling, we heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As she drew in her head, and was turning around,
In The Pink Pelican, St. Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all preppy-so pink and green cute
With a  bundle of Wedges he had flung on his back,
He stocked up on candles, and was ready to pack.

His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.

He picked up many Murfees and Elsas too,
And asked about gift certificates for me and for you.
He bought Greek gifts,
And for Minnies some shifts!

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And we laughed when we saw him, in spite of ourselves!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave us to know we had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, out the door rose!

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But we heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"A colorful Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"
